Authority Act
The Rockland County Solid Waste Management Authority Enactment Act was adopted by the Rockland County Legislature on July 19, 1994 by Res.

NYS Electronic Equipment Recycling and Reuse Act of 2010
The NYS Electronic Equipment Recycling and Reuse Act of 2010 requires manufacturers to provide free and convenient recycling of electronic waste to most consumers in the state.Beginning January 1, 2012, with the exception of individual and household consumers, all other NYS consumers — including businesses, private or public corporations, not-for-profit corporations and government entities, etc.

Food Scrap Recycling Program
In an ongoing effort to reduce the amount of waste going to the landfills, The Towns of Clarkstown, Haverstraw and Orangetown are partnering with Rockland Green to recycle residents’ food scraps.

"Flow Control" is a general term that refers to the ability of municipalities and their agencies to mandate — through laws and regulations — that all locally-generated solid waste be delivered to designated solid waste management facilities.

The Household Hazardous Waste Drop of Collection Facility is open Mon through Friday 8am till 1pm.
Rockland Green Charges
SWD01 Area Benefit Charge This charge is for capital or debt service costs for the Authority's solid waste facilities, i.e., the sludge cocomposting facility, the materials recovery facility, the yardwaste composting facility, transfer station, and for general administration costs.
HHW for Businesses
Conditionally Exempt Small Quantity Generators — small businesses, institutions, and non-profits in Rockland County that qualify for CESQG status may also deliver household hazardous waste to the HHW Facility for a fee.
