Tossing Trash in the Bins at Parks and Beaches

When visiting a park or beach, ensure that you properly dispose of your trash. Reducing the amount of litter in the environment doesn’t have to be hard.

Unfortunately, trash is cluttering up our most beautiful locations.

The last time you visited a park or beach, you most likely saw plastic bottles, bags, food containers, and cups, littering the sand and grass. Not only is this an unpleasant sight to see, but it is damaging to our environment.

Correct Disposal

Litter does more than just ruin the looks of our parks and beaches. It also has a negative impact on the animals who make that environment their home. Turtles, birds, and other marine life are constantly dying from ingesting litter and getting entangled in it.

If you have any trash with you or see some on the ground as you are walking by, make sure you throw it away in a bin. Doing this, not only improves the environment, but the lives of the animals, plants, insects, and organisms as well.

Carry-In, Carry Out

Taking responsibility for your own waste encourages awareness of our effects on the environment and it can make a positive impact on those around you as well as the environment.

If you are going to a park or beach bring a separate bag with you for all of your bottles, cans and plasticware. When you are leaving, bring the bag home and throw it out there.

Together, we can all limit our negative impact on the environment. Be a part of the solution not the pollution!
